Introduction
There was a time in world history known as the Dark Ages when information was suppressed to the profuse detriment of man’s enlightenment. We now live in the Age of Information where one’s pursuit of knowledge and understanding is limited only by the effort the individual is willing to exert to obtain it.
When we decide to become better informed on the issues threatening our health and on how to manage those issues wisely, we no longer subscribe to the phrase coined in Thomas Gray’s poem, Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College, that “Ignorance is Bliss”, and we begin to make decisions that make sense and can potentially save or prolong our lives and the lives of those important to us. It is with this intent that the Winds of Health team presents the following list of health-related literature and media we feel will enlighten those seeking to understand.
